Fleetwood have signed midfielder Ricardo Kip from Dutch side Almere City FC.

Kip, 24, a product of Ajax's youth system, has put pen to paper on an undisclosed deal with the Sky Bet League One club.

"We are confident he also has the right attributes to fit in with our style of play which is very important as we play a high energy style of football," Fleetwood boss Steven Pressley told the club's official website.

"He ticks all the right boxes. Last season he had a very good goalscoring record and we wanted to bring in additional goals and a threat. He is very versatile and can play anywhere in midfield."
