Dale boss frustrated by draw

Rochdale manager Steve Eyre was at a loss to explain how his side failed to take all three points at home to Yeovil.

The on-loan Watford man was by far the man of the match with some superb stops, particularly after the break in the Spotland stalemate in League One on Saturday. His best save came in the 76th minute, just after Yeovil were reduced to 10 men when Kerrea Gilbert shown a red card for a horror tackle on Joe Widdowson. Nicky Adams' resulting free-kick was headed goalwards by Harry Bunn but Gilmartin pushed his effort brilliantly over the crossbar. Eyre said: "I don't know how we didn't win the game. We should give some credit to Yeovil. They didn't do too much to try to win the game themselves but it took a massive effort on their part to stop us winning it. "They sat in their own half as the game progressed and when they went down to 10 men they sat around their own 18-yard area. "Harry Bunn glanced a header goalward from a cross that had pace on it and six or seven times out of 10 those go in, but for Harry it didn't and the goalkeeper has stuck an arm out and pushed it over the bar."
