Signed from non-league side Hereford United in 2014, Bowen played for the Tigers' academy before making his first-team debut in an EFL Cup tie against Exeter City early in the 2016/17 season.
A first Premier League appearance followed in October and he ended the campaign having played nine times at senior level.
Bowen is now a key part of head coach Leonid Slutsky's plans in the Championship, and the Russian is pleased that his top scorer has agreed a new contract.
"Jarrod has been a very important player for us so far this season, and he is also a player with the potential to improve even further," said Slutsky.
"He is a player that has stood out since I arrived here during the summer and I am delighted that he has agreed a new deal with us."
