Jarrod Bowen has signed a new contract at Hull City.

Bowen, who is the joint-leading goalscorer in the Sky Bet Championship with six to his name, has agreed a new contract until 2020 which also includes the option of adding an extra year.

The 20-year-old won the EFL Young Player of the Month Award for August, and was delighted to agree a new deal at the club.

"It has been three years since I first arrived here and it has been a fantastic journey so far," said Bowen.

"The last couple of months have been brilliant for me personally, but I know that I have to continue to improve my game and I am looking forward to doing that here."

Signed from non-league side Hereford United in 2014, Bowen played for the Tigers' academy before making his first-team debut in an EFL Cup tie against Exeter City early in the 2016/17 season.

A first Premier League appearance followed in October and he ended the campaign having played nine times at senior level.

"Jarrod has been a very important player for us so far this season, and he is also a player with the potential to improve even further," said Slutsky.

"He is a player that has stood out since I arrived here during the summer and I am delighted that he has agreed a new deal with us."
