Barnsley have signed Swindon striker Michael Smith in a loan move which will become permanent in January.
The 23-year-old, who scored 18 goals for the Robins last season, will move to Oakwell on a temporary basis until the deal becomes a permanent one on January 4.
Boss Lee Johnson told the club's official website: "I'm really pleased to get this one over the line. Michael will not only bring a great presence to our forward line but he adds goals, too.
"He has all the attributes to complement what we already have here. I have tracked Michael through the window and I am pleased to have secured his services on loan initially.
"I'm looking forward to working with him."
