Teenager signs new three-year contract at Oakwell

Barnsley teenager Paul Digby has signed an extension to his current contract at Oakwell. Sky Sports earlier on Thursday revealed Digby was set to commit his future to the Championship club and the deal is now official. The 17-year-old, who became Barnsley's fourth youngest player in their history when he made his debut last season, has signed a contract until the summer of 2015. Digby, still only a second-year scholar, is expected to play a role in manager Keith Hill's first-team squad this season. He made his debut in September last year in a 1-1 draw at Derby and made three further appearances for the Tykes.
