Barnsley have signed defender Cole Kpekawa from Queens Park Rangers for an undisclosed fee.
Left-back Kpekawa, who can also play in central defence, has put pen to paper on a three-year contract.
"We have monitored Cole for quite some time now and I am delighted to bring him in," Barnsley head coach Paul Heckingbottom told the club's official website.
"He's tall, quick, strong, with a good left foot. He's only young and that will help him fit into this group of players.
"He's ambitious and wants to be here, that was key. He's demonstrated all the ability and determination to be a Championship player and I can't wait to get him integrated within the group, show him our system of play and get him out onto the pitch."
Kpekawa has made a total of nine appearances for QPR, including a substitute's appearance in the EFL Cup against Swindon earlier this month, and has had loan spells at Colchester, Portsmouth and Leyton Orient.
Barnsley completed the signings of Adam Jackson, on a permanent deal from Middlesbrough, and striker Adam Armstrong, on loan from Newcastle, on Tuesday.
