Alex Neil happy with 'excellent' Norwich win at Sunderland

Alex Neil was pleased to see doubts about Norwich's Premier League calibre nipped in the bud by victory at Sunderland.
Newly-promoted City's season began with a home defeat to Crystal Palace, but they were convincing 3-1 winners on Wearside as Russell Martin, Steven Whittaker and Nathan Redmond scored.
The result extended Neil's unbeaten away record since arriving at Carrow Road, but the Scot was quick to put his players in the spotlight.
He told Sky Sports: "I'm delighted for them. We played really well last week and didn't get what we deserved. Questions do get asked about you as a player and as a manager, so to respond as we did was really pleasing.
"We were excellent throughout the game, created good opportunities and could have taken the lead before we scored. Once we got the goal we started to dominate the match and scored three really good goals.

"We shared them out last year - we had 11 or 12 different scorers from January onwards. We had three different today, so that's certainly a good start."
Redmond's goal was his second already this season and rewarded a lively all-round performance.
Neil said: "He did great last year - his goal ratio went up, his assist ratio went up - and today he pops up with another goal. His game's improving and he works really hard at it, so he deserves what he gets."
Asked about his away record he said: "We do try to have no fear, regardless of where we're going. We try to express ourselves, and I think we showed that today."
