EADIE, CIAO BABY!

NORWICH star Darren Eadie looks set to belatedly leave Carrow Road for Leicester in a £3 million deal with Martin O`Neill close to finally getting his man.

The flying winger has long been touted for a move to The Premiership but injuries have hampered his progress over the past couple of seasons. The deal will still be a record for The Canaries but they could have doubled their money if they had sold Eadie a couple of seasons ago.

Glenn Hoddle even called Eadie into the England squad at one stage but, predictably an injury put paid to his hopes of playing. Indeed, the player will be hoping that he passes a stringent medical if Norwich do accept the reported £3m bid, a record for The Foxes too.

O`Neill has been a great admirer of Eadie since their time together at Carrow Road but family issues, namely the birth of a child, helped persuade the 24-year-old to prolong his stay in East Anglia.
