Goalkeeper Anders Lindegaard has signed a new contract at Burnley to keep him at Turf Moor until June 2019.
The former Manchester United player joined Burnley on a free transfer last September but has played understudy to England international Nick Pope while club captain Tom Heaton remains out injured.
Clarets manager Sean Dyche had said Lindegaard would fight for the No 1 spot in Heaton's absence.
Lindegaard, 33, has been a substitute for Burnley's last 27 Premier League matches but is yet to make a senior appearance for the club.
The Danish international spent three and a half years at Manchester United, making 29 appearances.
Pope has impressed in goal since breaking into the starting XI and is in contention for a spot in Gareth Southgate's squad for the World Cup in Russia this summer.
Burnley still have hopes of qualifying for Europe this season, with Dyche's side just five points behind sixth-placed Arsenal heading into their final seven games of the campaign.
