Ipswich midfielder ends his stay at the club after just eight months

Hearts have confirmed that Ryan Stevenson has rejoined the club on a three-year deal from Ipswich Town. The 28-year-old quit the Tynecastle club for Ipswich in January after a dispute over unpaid wages. However, the attacking midfielder has managed to put that incident behind him and will be available for Sunday's game against Dundee. "I'm excited at the prospect of returning to the club," told the club's official website.

Focused

"Naturally, the circumstances of my previous departure might have made this move seem unlikely but I want to assure everyone that I am only focused on playing and winning with Hearts. "I am delighted to be here." Stevenson scored 11 goals in 74 matches in his first stint at the club and is being welcomed back by manager John McGlynn. McGlynn said: "I am delighted that we have re-signed Ryan. He is a quality player and can be used in a number of roles. "He's physically strong and will be an asset to this Hearts team. When I heard he wanted to return it was a simple decision for me to make. "He gives us more options and that is to be welcomed."
