Crystal Palace defender Martin Kelly has confirmed to Sky Sports News HQ that he is safe and well.
There were reports that the 25-year-old former Liverpool full-back was caught up in the terror attacks in Paris on Friday evening after he posted a picture of himself in a restaurant in the city on Instagram.
Kelly has confirmed he was in the French capital for a short break but was not caught up in the attacks and he returned to his hotel in a taxi after going for a drink with his girlfriend.
He also clarified he was not the man photographed in widespread media reports helping victims of the atrocity.
Crystal Palace's official Twitter account also posted a message on Friday night to confirm Kelly's safety after supporters had grown concerned following his Instagram message.
