Joselu has vowed to give his all in Stoke's pre-season if a transfer away from the club cannot be finalised.

The Spanish striker spent last season on loan at Deportivo La Coruna, where he scored five goals in 20 La Liga appearances - including strikes against Barcelona and former club Real Madrid.

Joselu managed a return of just four goals in 22 Premier League games after making a £5.25m move from Hannover ahead of the 2015/16 campaign, but is determined to prove himself at the Potters if a transfer away from the Bet365 Stadium does not materialise.

"Now I wait. It's a warm summer, I have two years left at Stoke," Joselu told Marca. "We hope to have solutions as soon as possible and if not, I will work non-stop in pre-season. Whatever comes, may God want it to be good.

Asked if all doors are still open on his future, he added: "Yes, it is clear. England is a complicated country for foreigners. In Stoke we had a difficult year [in the 2015/16 season], the three Spaniards we were there [Bojan and Muniesa]. There they have a very different idea from ours and I am open to any situation."

Joselu did admit he is flattered by reported interest from Malaga, but stopped short of confirming any deal will take place.

"It is always good for a club like Malaga to notice you, that means something," he added. "It is a great club, in a big city and with a great coach, like Míchel."
