Transfer talk: Wolves play down interest in Northampton striker Ivan Toney
Tuesday 25 November 2014 11:35, UK
Wolves manager Kenny Jackett has dismissed speculation linking the club with a bid for Northampton striker Ivan Toney.
Wolves are in the market for new forwards as they will lose Bakary Sako and Nouha Dicko to the African Cup of Nations in January and February.
Northampton revealed last week they had rejected a bid from a Sky Bet Championship club but Jackett said it was not from Wolves.
"He's not one where we're close to, made any bids for or attempted to take on loan," he told the Wolverhampton Express & Star.
Toney has scored six goals in 22 games for the Cobblers this season, including one in their 3-2 League Cup win at Wolves in August.

Meanwhile, Dicko will be sidelined for Saturday's trip to Brentford with tight hamstrings.
"I don't think he'll be fit this weekend, but we're expecting him in full training by next Monday," Jackett added.
