Goalkeeper pleased Wolves have fate in their own hands

Marcus Hahnemann feels positive about Wolves' chances of avoiding relegation as they prepare for Survival Sunday with their fate in their own hands. The Molineux club sit 16th in the Premier League, one point clear of the drop zone, going into their final match of the season at home to 15th-placed Blackburn. A victory in front of their own fans would therefore guarantee Mick McCarthy's team avoid dropping into the Championship and Hahnemann wants to take advantage. The American goalkeeper, who has provided back-up to Wayne Hennessey for the second half of the season, told Sky Sports News: "Go out and win the game, it doesn't get any easier than that.

Predicament

"Having it in your own hands, it is so nice to have that." Wolves go into the match on the back of successive wins against West Brom and Sunderland, which has eased the stress among McCarthy's players. Hahnemann said after training on Saturday: "You wouldn't have realised how much pressure and how much is at stake on the game tomorrow. "We want to be playing well at the right time, which we are, and it is in our hands. We have a lot to be positive about. "Everyone else is in a bit more of a predicament. You look at Birmingham, they have got sucked back into it after the great run they had."
