Midfielder feels close nature of relegation scrap can help Wolves
Greg Halford believes the close nature of the relegation battle in the Premier League can only be of benefit to Wolves.
Just seven points separates the bottom eight clubs with Stoke in 10th nervously looking over their shoulder with only six points between themselves and the drop zone.
Wolves currently occupy 15th place in the table, one point above the relegation zone, and have lost their last two Premier League games.
However despite the back-to-back defeats, Halford is confident the team can stay up.
"There are advantages and disadvantages in this season's tight relegation battle because so many sides are in danger of going down," he told
skysports.com.
"It could go down to the wire, with all three relegation spots uncertain, so as long as we continue to put points on the board we will give ourselves a chance to survive.
"If we can go on a little run of four of five wins on the bounce then we will move up pretty sharpish and give ourselves a nice bit of breathing space.
"We have been playing some good football recently, so if we continue in that vein I am sure the results will follow shortly."
