Sunderland have completed the signing of Brighton winger Will Buckley on a three-year deal.
Sky Sports understands the fee to be in the region of £2.5million for the 24-year-old, who scored 19 goals in over 100 games for the club following his move from Watford in the summer of 2011.
Buckley, who played under Sunderland boss Gus Poyet during his time on the south coast, made an instant impact at Brighton, coming off the bench in the first league match at the Amex to score two stoppage-time goals to clinch a 2-1 win over Doncaster.
The former Rochdale and Watford man also scored a memorable FA Cup goal to knock out Newcastle United at the Amex.
Brighton chairman Tony Bloom said: "Will gave us some great moments during his time with the club and I would like to thank him for his efforts in his time with us and wish him well for the future."
