Paddy McNair is set to return from injury for Sunderland U23s on Tuesday following 11 months on the sidelines.

The Northern Ireland international ruptured his cruciate ligament last November and has not played any first-team football since.

Former Manchester United midfielder McNair is set to feature against Hertha Berlin for Sunderland's reserve side at the Stadium of Light.
