Baggies move to ward off Prem interest
Skysports.com can confirm West Brom are in talks with Graham Dorrans over a new deal at The Hawthorns.
West Brom are ready to offer Dorrans a new improved contract as reward for his impressive form this season despite the fact he only signed fresh terms last May.
The former Livingston star signed a three-year deal with a 12-month option before the start of the new season and Albion are keen to secure his long-term future to ward off growing interest from Premier League clubs.
The likes of Aston Villa, Everton, Sunderland, Birmingham and Stoke are all believed to be keeping tabs on the Scotland international, but West Brom are keen to keep the talented 22-year-old as they look to win promotion back to the Premier League at the first time of asking.
Dorrans has established himself as one of the best players outside the Premier League and he has been instrumental in West Brom's fine form so far this term.
The young Scot's agent, Willie McKay, has revealed talks are ongoing regarding a new deal for Dorrans amid interest from the Premier League.
"I have been speaking to Dan Ashworth [West Brom's sporting and technical director] about a new deal for Graham as he has been making tremendous progress there," said McKay.
"West Brom are aware a number of Premier League clubs are interested in Graham and they are keen to reward him with a new improved contract.
"I know it is a difficult time of the year to have contract talks, but we hope to agree something to suit all parties.
"Graham is happy that Premier League teams are showing an interest in him, but his main goal is to help West Brom win promotion this season.
"He is happy there and the fans love him so we hope that a deal can be reached that is the best for everyone involved."
