Scunthorpe United have agreed a deal to keep West Ham United youngster Jordan Spence on loan until January.
Spence has yet to make his first-team debut for the Hammers, but enjoyed a loan spell in League One with Leyton Orient last season.
He linked up with the Iron on an initial month-long loan a fortnight ago and will now stay at Glanford Park until 1st January.
The England Under 19 international can play at centre-half and right-back, and has quickly established himself in Nigel Adkins' side.
Spence has started four matches since joining the Championship club and featured in Saturday's 1-0 home defeat by Queens Park Rangers.
