Hugo Rodallega returns to the DW Stadium as Fulham face Wigan

Hugo Rodallega returns to former club Wigan Athletic on Saturday as Fulham seek their first Premier League away win of the season.

Colombian striker Rodallega left the DW Stadium in the summer on a free transfer and eventually pitched up at Fulham, for whom he is still awaiting his first goal. Rodallega has been overshadowed by a couple of other new recruits, though, as Mladen Petric scored twice on his debut against Norwich City before picking up an injury, while Dimitar Berbatov sparkled in last week's 3-0 victory over West Bromwich Albion. In between those two home success, however, the Cottagers have lost twice on their travels, putting up a spirited display in succumbing 3-2 at Manchester United before being soundly beaten 3-0 by West Ham United. Wigan, too, have been inconsistent in their opening four games, which includes a defeat at Old Trafford, while Roberto Martinez's side have yet to win at home this term. A slightly unfortunate 2-0 defeat by Chelsea in their opening game was followed by a 2-2 draw with Stoke City before the international break when the visitors twice came from behind. Recent history is also against the Latics as they have won none of the last 11 meetings between the clubs and their sole home success was when Pascal Chimbonda scored a last-minute winner in their debut Premier League campaign in 2005. At least Wigan will not have to worry about Fulham's match-winners from last season's corresponding clash as Moussa Dembele and Clint Dempsey have both recently joined Tottenham Hotspur. The previous five tussles in the North West ended in stalemates and another evenly-balanced encounter lies in store, with both teams likely to try to keep the ball on the deck.Wigan have only one injury concern for the game in Antolin Alcaraz, who missed last week's 4-0 defeat at Manchester United after picking up a groin injury on international duty with Paraguay. The centre-half will be given a late fitness test, but otherwise Martinez has a fully-fit squad to select from. Martinez has the likes of Mauro Boselli and Jordi Gomez pushing for starts, but he could stick with the same XI which started at Old Trafford.Fulham boss Martin Jol has received mixed news on the injury front, but could welcome back Bryan Ruiz and Petric for the game. Both forwards missed last weekend's win over West Brom and will vie for a place alongside Berbatov at the DW Stadium. Mahamadou Diarra (knee), Kieran Richardson (hip), Kerim Frei (pelvis) and Philippe Senderos (foot) remain sidelined, while new recruit Ashkan Dejagah is not yet match fit.
