Wycombe Wanderers boss Gary Waddock has signed highly-rated Fulham striker Marcello Trotta on a month's loan.
Trotta, who signed a professional contract at Fulham in 2009 following a spell with his hometown club Napoli, trained with Wycombe on Thursday and will go straight into the squad for the trip to Buckinghamshire rivals MK Dons on Saturday. The 19-year-old has made a big impact since arriving at Craven Cottage, scoring 25 goals in each of the past two seasons for the reserves, leading to him recently being named Fulham's academy scholar of the year. Trotta has been in fine goalscoring form this season too, finding the net nine times in just seven games for the Premier League club's second-string. "We've been watching him for a while and we are delighted that Fulham have allowed us to add a quality player to the group," Waddock told the club's official website. "He's a goalscorer, a natural finisher who comes alive in the box. That's one ingredient we've been missing recently." Trotta added: "I'm very happy to be here and I'm sure it will be a good experience. I'm looking to play some first-team football and my target is to score goals for the team. Every time I get the ball I look to do something positive."
