Roberto Mancini is looking forward to a long rivalry with Sir Alex Ferguson and hopes Manchester City's success can continue to provoke the Manchester United boss' fighting spirit.
City on Sunday won their first top-flight title in 44 years after a remarkable day of drama as their 3-2 last-gasp win over QPR snatched the Premier League trophy out of the hands of United.
It was a heart-breaking end to the season for United, but manager Ferguson has relished the season-long battle with City and has previously said the rivalry with his club's derby neighbours has made him feel younger than his 70 years.
Some have questioned whether the time might be approaching for Ferguson to retire, but the Scot has insisted he is going nowhere, and Mancini is relishing the prospect of continuing to lock horns.

"Fergie said he's too young to retire; we're happy he has three years left," the City boss is quoted as saying in
The Guardian.
"I hope we can continue to win. In two or three years, maybe he can have 10 years less (age-wise)."
Mancini is now also targeting a legacy of trophies at City and turning the club into an established silverware-winning force.
"We are happy, because we won this trophy after 44 years," he said.
"We changed the history of this club by beating a strong team like United. Now I hope we can continue to win."
