Ivorian midfielder confident City will land another trophy this season
Yaya Toure feels Manchester City have taken a 'quantum leap' forward this season when it comes to winning mentality and belief.
The Blues have been on an upward curve for a couple of seasons now, with the continued injection of funds into the playing staff by owner Sheikh Mansour starting to pay dividends.
The 2010/11 campaign saw City land the FA Cup and end their long wait for major silverware.
The target now is to carry on improving, with sustained challenges for top honours expected both at home and abroad.
City currently sit top of the Premier League table and are well-placed in their UEFA Champions League group, and Toure believes the club are taking giant strides in the right direction.
Progressing
"We have made a quantum leap this season compared to last in terms of our winning mentality," the Ivorian midfielder told
Uefa.com.
"The arrival of important players like Samir Nasri and Sergio Aguero is the key factor in that. We also have top quality footballers like Edin Dzeko and David Silva in impressive form right now.
"The season is progressing marvellously and I do believe that we are in shape to win another trophy."
City's latest outing saw them pick up a 3-0 victory over Villarreal in Europe, with their performance on Wednesday meaning they have now scored 27 goals in their last seven fixtures.
On the club's recent form, Toure said: "It's vital we maintain this run of results because to win the Premier League and the Champions League will be very hard."
