Blues to head Stateside this summer

Manchester City have announced they will go on a pre-season tour to the USA this summer. Fixtures are yet to be released but the UEFA Champions League hopefuls have confirmed they will visit the States in July and play a number of high-profile opponents in cities along the east coast. The tour will mark the first time the Premier League club have toured America in over a decade. Last season they toured South Africa and have also had trips to the Middle East, South-East Asia and the Far East in the last four years.

Groundbreaking

"The summer tour of America is going to be tremendously exciting for Manchester City," said chief executive Garry Cook. "It is going to be another groundbreaking trip for us, following on from last summer's visit to South Africa. "I am well aware of the support there is for us in America. It's important for us to take City into new territories and help spread the word to new and existing Blues fans around the world."
