Pep Guardiola says he is happy with Manchester City's transfer business so far and has promised the team will be better next season.

The Catalan has seen Bernardo Silva arrive from Monaco and goalkeeper Ederson from Benfica, while they are keen to land Kyle Walker and Dani Alves, and one of either Benjamin Mendy or Ryan Bertrand.

City boss Guardiola says the club is making a big effort and insists he is looking forward to getting back in for pre-season training.

"We will be better, like Everton will be better. All the teams will be better next year," he said at an Icons of Football golf event at the Belfry on Friday.

"I enjoy a lot. Always when you win it's like that, and it's good. During the process, 11 months together, you can enjoy with your staff and players and imagining new games and new actions. Sometimes it happens but the opponents always play, and play good. Sometimes they can beat us.

"I was so happy last season in Manchester, and being manager there. And that's why I'm delighted to arrive back in July.

"I am happy. The club has made a good effort. I am looking for players that don't play golf and be focused.
