Moussa Sissoko has not been included in the squad for the Tottenham's pre-season tour of the United States.
Tottenham confirmed Sissoko (virus) is unavailable alongside injured players Erik Lamela (hip), Heung-Min Son (arm) and Danny Rose (knee), with all four players not boarding the plane to the USA on Wednesday morning.
Sissoko cast doubt over his future at Tottenham earlier this summer by describing last season as "the worst of my career" following his £30m move from Newcastle in 2016.
Both Rose and Lamela are expected to miss the start of the new Premier League season after undergoing surgery, while Son is still recovering following an operation on his fractured right forearm.
Kieran Trippier, who has signed a new five-year deal with Tottenham following the departure of Kyle Walker to Manchester City, is part of Mauricio Pochettino's 26-man squad for the trip stateside.
