Bolton ace included in squad despite quitting

El Hadji Diouf has been named in Senegal's 19-man squad for a friendly against Guinea despite announcing earlier this week that he had quit international football. The Bolton forward, who had been captaining his country in recent games, announced on Monday he was quitting the international scene. Diouf cited "organisational problems" in the West African side for his decision to retire. The president of the Senegalese Football Federation, Mbaye Ndoye, declined to comment on Diouf's situation but expressed confidence in coach Henryk Kasperczak's team selection. "I am confident that the trainer has done his job. He has judged it necessary to pick the players he believes in," Ndoye told Reuters. Senegal face Guinea on Sunday in Rouen, France as part of their preparations for the African Cup of Nations in Ghana early next year.
