WATFORD SIGN WANDERER

WATFORD have completed a bargain swoop in signing Bolton`s Neil Cox for £500,000.

The Bolton star moved from Middlesborough for double this amount but would have walked away from the club this summer for nothing under the Bosman ruling.

Therefore Wanderers` new boss, Sam Allardyce, was forced to sell the versatile wing-back to recoup some of the clubs outlay and Cox is known to have wanted a move back into the Premiership.

Taylor is expected to pay just £500,000 to resurrect 28-year-old Cox`s career in the top flight and boost his flagging defence.
