Everton have lost their last three Premier League games, and have won just one of their last six games in all competitions - away at the bottom club Huddersfield. Their poor run has included being knocked out of the FA Cup by Championship side Millwall.

They travel to face relegation battlers Cardiff on Tuesday night after a 17-day break, and Silva has admitted he is unhappy with the current standard of football being played by his side, but will be sticking to his tried and tested philosophy.

"Radical? no. Direct to you, no," the Portuguese boss responded when asked if sizeable changes have been made for the remainder of the campaign.

"Because in February if we start to change everything radical then that means everything that we did [previously] does not make sense. It's not what I am thinking.

"We have to understand why we are not doing the same. Because some bad results [we do not] play with the same confidence, it's clear to me.

"The details are making a big difference in our results or not achieving the results because the last few games I didn't see one team commanding control, or control the game against us and put problems to us.

"We are losing points and not achieving the good results in some moments, [it's] in the details. In this type of detail we have to work more and more to be consistent as a team."

When further queried on whether his reluctance to make sizeable change meant he was happy with the general situation, Silva was abrupt in his response.

"I'm not saying to you I'm happy, did you [hear] I'm saying I'm happy? You ask me if I will change something radical and I say to you no, but I am not happy with the last results," he said.

Silva also confirmed both Phil Jagielka and Leighton Baines have returned to fitness, though doubts still remain over central defender Yerry Mina.
