Everton's leading goalscorer Romelu Lukaku has been ruled out of their FA Cup third-round tie at home to Dagenham & Redbridge on Saturday.
The Belgium international striker is one of three players who were injured in Everton's 2-1 win over Manchester City in the Capital One Cup semi-final at Goodison Park on Wednesday night.
Lukaku was substituted after hurting his ankle when scoring his 12th goal in as many appearances in the victory over City.
Right-back Seamus Coleman and midfielder Tom Cleverley also sustained calf injuries in that game and will not be risked when the Sky Bet League Two side visit Merseyside.
"I don't expect Seamus, Rom or Tom to be available on Saturday," manager Roberto Martinez said. "They are reacting well to treatment.
"We have different options. Training today is an opportunity. I've been really pleased with the players."
One player who will be in the frame to replace Lukaku is Uruguayan forward Leandro Rodriguez.
The 23-year-old joined Everton from River Plate in the summer but is yet to make a first-team appearance.
"I think it is important for Leandro," said Martinez. "He has been adjusting to the British game. If he's in the squad it'll be a good reward.
"He should be really fit and could be involved tomorrow."
Captain Phil Jagielka will also make his comeback after more than two months out with a knee injury after being named as an unused substitute for the last two matches.
"It has been a big boost to have him around the dressing room," said Martinez.
"His presence is a real calm influence. He is someone who has been through every single situation on the pitch and it has been valuable having him around even when he wasn't available to play 90 minutes.
"He is back now and it is a perfect opportunity for everyone to see him back on the pitch and to use his leadership skills in good measure."
