Gunners playmaker targeting return in September

Arsenal playmaker Samir Nasri is upbeat despite suffering a broken leg during pre-season. The France international fractured his fibula during the Gunners' training camp in Austria last month. It was initially feared that Nasri could be sidelined for a substantial period but it has since been revealed he could return in September. And Nasri, who scored seven goals last season, is hopeful of making his comeback in the near future. He told L'Equipe: "I am happy I only suffered a simple fibula fracture. Moreover, it is better for it to happen now rather than in the middle of the season. "Now I just need to be patient. I have about three weeks of immobility before starting rehabilitation early in September."
