Guti chasing Real exit

REAL MADRID star Guti has pleaded with the club to reduce his asking price so he can secure a move away from El Santiago Bernabeu.

The versatile Spanish international has grown increasingly frustrated at his inability to hold down a regular first-team spot with the reigning Spanish champions, and believes the arrival of David Beckham will force him even further down the pecking order.

Now the 26-year-old has spelt out his desire to quit 'Los Merengues', but believes Real should be realistic in their demands for him.

"I am 26 years old, and I want to be a regular starter," Guti stated.

"Beckham's arrival doesn't allow me to be one. It is time for me to feel extremely useful for the team I play in.

"I have offers from other clubs, but I can't reveal anything more.

"However my price needs to be lowered, there isn't much money around at the moment."

Arsenal and Roma have both been linked with moved for the talented midfielder-cum-striker who is a firm favourite with Real fans.
