Premier League Power Rankings: Liverpool's Virgil van Dijk top

Liverpool's Virgil van Dijk has topped the Power Rankings for the first time after his stellar display at Goodison Park on Sunday.

The Reds captain produced a man-of-the-match performance in the goalless Merseyside derby, while 'keeper Alisson (No 4) kept his 17th leagu e clean sheet this term.

Team-mates Andrew Robertson (No 6) and Trent Alexander-Arnold (No 7) were also among the top performers after both full-backs created a team-topping two chances and excelled across a raft of defensive stats.

Romelu Lukaku (No 2) scored his fourth goal in two games with a double in a 3-2 win against Southampton, while Saints midfielder James Ward-Prowse (No 10) scored a timely free-kick ahead of Gareth Southgate naming his next England squad later this month.

Watford's Troy Deeney (No 3) broke the deadlock and teed up Andre Gray's stoppage-time winner against Leicester, while Crystal Palace winger Wilfried Zaha (No 5) netted his fourth goal in as many games during a 3-1 win at Burnley,

Meanwhile, Arsenal duo Henrikh Mkhitaryan (No 8) and Alexandre Lacazette (No 9) slipped down the chart but narrowly retained their places among the top 10 after a 1-1 stalemate at Tottenham on Saturday.
