Jurgen Klopp expects Liverpool's supporters to play a "vital role" for the club this season.
The Reds face Rubin Kazan in the Europa League on Thursday and Klopp has used his first match day programme notes as Liverpool manager to rally fans ahead of the match.
"This is my first time as manager of Liverpool for a game at Anfield and it is something that will be very important for me and my staff," said the 48 year-old.
"You the fans have a vital role to play in what we are looking to achieve. You are a very special group of supporters and the atmosphere you create is unique.
"I ask that you believe in this team and believe that together we can achieve great things. We must all stay together and look to enjoy the experience of following such a great club."

Liverpool sit second in Group B with two points from their opening two matches and disappointing 1-1 draws against Bordeaux and FC Sion contributed to the dismissal of Klopp's predecessor, Brendan Rodgers.
Now the former Borussia Dortmund manager is keen to restore confidence around the club ahead of his first home game.
"Football should be about joy and fun and that must be reflected throughout the entire organisation," said Klopp.
"The team will go out and battle for you and look to represent you, the club and the city in how we approach our work: this is my commitment."
