Boca striker is going nowhere until season is completed

Boca Juniors have confirmed that they are yet to receive a formal approach for Rodrigo Palacio. The Argentinian international looks certain to be on his way to Europe over the summer, with Barcelona, Sevilla and Chelsea leading the race for his signature. The striker is under contract with Boca until 2010 but his agent is understood to have already travelled to Spain to discuss a potential transfer with the interested parties. Palacio has suggested that he would prefer a move to the Primera Division over a transfer to England, but is prepared to listen to any offers. Boca are well aware that they may be forced to part company with their prized asset in the near future, but insist that no deal has been finalised as yet and that they have no intention of discussing a transfer until their current campaign has come to a close. "For the moment we don't have any official proposal," said Boca secretary Jose Beraldi. "Even if we have contact, Boca is not going to talk about any deals until our team ends their participation in the Copa Libertadores and the Torneo Clausura."
