The club captain is 32 and could be offered a long-term deal by Barcelona in the summer (Sky Sports News, January 28); Azpilicueta's demands for a three-year contract are proving to be the stumbling block in his negotiations with Chelsea (Daily Telegraph, January 27); Azpilicueta will not make a definitive decision on his Chelsea future until he meets with the club after the international break (Daily Mail, January 26); Azpilicueta wants to end his career at Stamford Bridge but is yet to be offered terms beyond the end of the season (Daily Mail, January 20).
