Christian Wilhelmsson believes Roma can knock Manchester United out of Europe.

Roma's on-loan winger Christian Wilhelmsson believes the Italians can knock Manchester United out of the UEFA Champions League on Wednesday night.

The 27-year-old Sweden international, currently on loan from Nantes, says the mood in the Roma camp is positive ahead of the quarter-final clash.

"There is an atmosphere of expectation in Rome," he is quoted as saying in Expressen.

"Playing at our home ground in the first match could prove an advantage, but it can also prove a disadvantage if you concede a goal."
