Fifa have unveiled their shortlist for the World Player of the Year.
Fifa have unveiled their shortlist for World Player of the Year, with Thierry Henry, and Wayne Rooney amongst a wealth of Premiership stars included.Rooney is one of six British players in the list, with Real Madrid pair Michael Owen and David Beckham, Liverpool's Steven Gerrard, Chelsea's Frank Lampard and Ryan Giggs of Wales also included.
Ten players from current Premiership clubs are named, Arsenal's French pair Henry and Robert Pires, Cristiano Ronaldo and Ruud van Nistelrooy from Manchester United, Liverpool's Milan Baros and Didier Drogba from Chelsea joining the British stars.
Ten players from Italian clubs are included, 12 from Spain's La Liga and three from the German Bundesliga.
Current holder Zinedine Zidane is again amongst the nominees, along with an astounding six of his Real Madrid team-mates.
