Marcus Rashford has been left out of the Manchester United squad for Manchester United's Carabao Cup tie against Tottenham.
It comes just days after being omitted from Ruben Amorim's squad for the Manchester derby at the weekend, which United won 2-1. Rashford missed training earlier this week due to illness, however, Amorim confirmed he would be in training ahead of the trip to Spurs.
Rashford's exclusion from the squad comes after the 27-year-old admitted he was "ready for a new challenge" in an interview with Henry Winter.

However, United boss Amorim refused to close the door on Rashford's Old Trafford future and insisted in his pre-match press conference that the team are better with the England international in it.
Alejandro Garnacho, who was also dropped for the Manchester derby is with the United squad to face Spurs.

'Amorim trying to get tune out of Rashford'
Sky Sports News' Melissa Reddy:
In the absence of a market for Rashford, Amorim has been trying different methods to get a tune out of him. "For so long, for example with Rash, you try a thing, it doesn't work," he said. "Let's continue to do the same thing? Or something different?"
Being left out of the squad against Manchester City has so far had the desired effect of elevating the player's training standards and attitude.
Rashford posted a photograph of United's celebration following Amad's sensational winner with the caption, "Yesssssssss! Love it lads" on social media. It was viewed as a nod to Amorim's comment that everything, including "engagement with team-mates" will be considered when he selects a match-day squad.
Where will Rashford end up?
Football journalist Henry Winter:
"He made it clear to me that when he said new challenge, it was away from Old Trafford. There's no ambiguity in that. Now it's a question of when rather than if. Whether it would be a loan in January, it would be a complicated deal to do for many reasons but it looks like he's out the door.
"The only issue with a move to Saudi is that he's very keen to get back into the England squad and play in the World Cup in America. I don't think Saudi would be right for him. Real Madrid have got Kylian Mbappe, Rashford's not on his level. Barcelona don't have the money. There's Juventus possibly in Italy but it's a complicated deal to do."
