Daley Blind says he would welcome Zlatan Ibrahimovic re-signing for Manchester United, claiming the Swede is still a great player.
Ibrahimovic has been in recuperation at United's Carrington training ground after undergoing knee surgery following a season-ending injury against Anderlecht in April.
The 35-year-old, who had scored 28 goals for United, has since seen his one-year deal at United expire and Mourinho has confirmed that talks will continue over a possible return around Christmas time.
When asked about an Ibrahimovic return, Blind told NBC Sports: "Of course. No doubt he would again be another big signing and last year he gave a big boost for the team.
"He is still a great player and great person and he makes everything better."
Manchester United signed Romelu Lukaku from Everton this summer and Blind is confident the Belgium international will flourish this season.
"He is a great signing, a great player and a great person as well, now that I have met him for a while," Blind said.
"He works very hard, he is very eager to score goals and very eager to help his teammates and create chances.
"So I am very happy he scored his first goal and I think there are many more to come."
Manchester United play Manchester City in their next pre-season match on Thursday in Houston, Texas.
It will be the first Manchester Derby on foreign soil and the players are treating it seriously.
"It will be a friendly, it will be pre-season but from the inside everyone feels like it is a derby and it will always be that way," Blind said. "It is always special to play games like that. The derby always brings something extra and it will definitely be like that in Houston."
