Wayne Rooney will make a stunning return to Everton by the end of this week, according to The Sun.
The 31-year-old is likely to leave Manchester United this summer, having found opportunities limited under Jose Mourinho last season.
The United captain, who left Everton for Old Trafford in 2004 as an 18-year-old, has previously said the Toffees remain one of only two Premier League clubs he would play for.
Rooney is set to meet Ronald Koeman this week, according to The Independent.
They report that United are willing to waive a transfer fee and Everton will pay Rooney £150,000 per week.
Ivan Perisic will tell Inter Milan that he wants to leave and force a move to Manchester United, according to reports.
United are keen to bring the Croatia international to Old Trafford this summer and Sky in Italy understands they have had a new and improved bid turned down.
Sky sources revealed in May that United were in talks with Inter about the potential signing of Perisic and signalled their intent with an opening offer of £36m.
