Henrik Larsson admits regret over curtaling Manchester United spell

Henrik Larsson says he has only one regret over his illustrious career - not staying to collect a Premier League winner's medal with Manchester United.
The Swedish striker, who retired in 2009 after a 21-year playing career, had a two-month loan period at Old Trafford during the 2006-07 season, scoring three times in 13 games before returning to parent club Helsingborg in March.
Larsson, who made his name with 221 goals in seven trophy-laden years at Celtic before joining Barcelona in 2004, admitted he should have extended his temporary loan at Old Trafford in a bid to win silverware under Sir Alex Ferguson.
He told Four Four Two magazine: "I should have stayed, as it would have meant I got a Premier League winner's medal, that's the only regret I have in my career.
"I would have stayed for one more season. But I still had a contract with Helsingborg and I feel that when you sign a contract, you have to see it out."

At the time, Ferguson said: "He's [Larsson] been fantastic for us, his professionalism, his attitude, everything he's done has been excellent."
"We would love him to stay but, obviously, he has made his promise to his family and Helsingborg and I think we should respect that - but I would have done anything to keep him."
Manchester United went on to win the league by six points from Chelsea but lost 1-0 to Jose Mourinho's side in the FA Cup final.
Larsson, 45, has since moved into management but resigned from his post in charge of his beloved Helsingborg after their acrimonious relegation last month.
