Manchester United jetted off to China on Tuesday for their 2016-17 pre-season tour.
Jose Mourinho and his 25-man squad are set for friendlies in front of huge crowds against Borussia Dortmund at the Shanghai Stadium and local rivals Manchester City at the Beijing National Stadium.
Mourinho, his staff and his players boarded a Russian airline Aeroflot plane at Manchester Airport early on Tuesday afternoon and are expected to be greeted by rapturous supporters upon their arrival.
United players posed for a club photograph on the steps of the plane before individuals including Juan Mata, Marcus Rashford and new signing Henrikh Mkhitaryan, shared their own snaps via social media.
Meanwhile, Manchester United representatives are currently in Italy attempting to sign Paul Pogba from Juventus, according to Sky in Italy.
Mourinho named his squad for the tour earlier on Tuesday and left out young striker James Wilson, whose future at Old Trafford is uncertain following the signing of Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
As part of the International Champions Cup, United play Dortmund in Shanghai on July 22 before the City clash in Beijing on July 25.
On their way home on at the end of the month, the Reds will face Galatasaray in Gothenburg, Sweden on July 30.
