Bournemouth have signed Sheffield United goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale in a deal worth in excess of £1m, according to Sky sources.

Ramsdale has represented England at U18 and U19 level and made his debut for the Blades this season in the FA Cup against Leyton Orient back in November.

The 18-year-old, who has provided cover from the bench to Simon Moore for the majority of the season at Bramall Lane, had been linked with a move to Everton earlier in the window, but Eddie Howe's Cherries are now determined to get their man before Tuesday's 11pm deadline.

Should any deal go through, Ramsdale would be Bournemouth's first signing of the January window.
