Tyson delight at Doncaster deal

Doncaster new-boy Nathan Tyson is delighted to have signed a one-year deal with the club.

Rovers have the option to extend the 32-year-old striker's stay after 12 months and he is excited at the prospect of helping the South Yorkshire club return to the Championship. Tyson told the club's official website: "Suddenly something popped up as fantastic as this and it's worked out really well so far. "I've still got to go out there and impress. I've got the contract, that's the easy part done. The hard part is for the rest of the year putting the performances in and getting the results and the goals and points to help us move up the league." The ex-Derby, Forest and Millwall forward has over 400 career appearances and wants to use his experience to guide the younger players in Paul Dickov's squad. He added: "The young lads now have to turn to men and the older lads - like me - have to pass that down to them. If you work as a team and do the basics right then you can find yourself in a good position in the league."
