Italian reveals mystery League One club offered him a job

Paolo Di Canio has revealed he has rejected an approach from an unnamed lower league club about managing in England. The former West Ham and Sheffield Wednesday ace is keen to get into management after completing his coaching badges. The 42-year-old claims he was approached by a League One side about becoming their manager two months ago, but that he rejected their overtures as he did not feel the timing was right. "There was a situation, but I don't like to say the name of the club, not a big club," Di Canio told Sky Sports News. "Of course it was a good situation for me and it made me feel positive." Asked for the name of the club, Di Canio said: "It was lower division, not Championship or Premier League - it was League One. "It was nothing more than a conversation. They tried to contact me and I gave my point of view on how to handle the situation of the team, but I prefer to wait."
