Bulgarian may have played last game for City

Winger Martin Petrov may have played his last game for Manchester City after confirming he will miss the club's four remaining Premier League games due to a knee injury. The Bulgarian, who is still to announce where he will be playing next season after turning down a contract extension at Eastlands, has not played since City's 1-1 draw at Stoke back in February. He has since undergone surgery on the injury, however, he revealed to the Bulgarian media that he will not play again this season. "My season is over," Petrov told Trud daily. "I wanted to play in several matches at the end of the championship but the doctors said I should take a rest for three more weeks. "I'm very disappointed." The former Wolfsburg and Atletico Madrid man has been marred with injuries since joining City on a three-year deal in 2007.
