Aaron Ramsey will not travel to Dublin for Wales' UEFA Nations League match on Tuesday against the Republic of Ireland due to family reasons.
The Arsenal midfielder earned his 56th international cap in Thursday's 4-1 defeat by Spain, captaining Wales in the second half.
He was allowed to miss Arsenal's Europa League tie against Qarabag in Azerbaijan earlier in October to stay in London with his pregnant wife.
His personal situation was addressed when manager Ryan Giggs named his 25-man squad for the double header against Spain and the Republic.
Giggs said: "We have to weigh it up and it's something for us to assess. "Obviously we are at home for the first game. That's a plus, but we are just monitoring the situation."
Gareth Bale has already been ruled out because of a groin injury as Giggs' team look to return to winning ways.
Ipswich winger Gwion Edwards was called up by Wales on Friday as cover for Bale.
Swansea City's Daniel James has also been drafted in and left the Wales U21s squad.
Wales are currently second in Group B having thrashed Martin O'Neill's Republic of Ireland 4-1 in their opening game before falling to a 2-0 defeat against Denmark.
