Charlton Athletic are celebrating the 25th anniversary of their return to the Valley stadium after a 7-year absence.

Charlton Athletic are celebrating the 25th anniversary of their return to The Valley stadium.

On December 5 1992, Charlton returned to The Valley having spent seven years away from their traditional home.

The club spent time ground-sharing with Crystal Palace and then West Ham United before they played their first game back at The Valley against Portsmouth - who by pure chance are the opposition for Saturday's anniversary game.
