From done deals to those that got away... here's how a dramatic Deadline Day unfolded on Sky Sports News.
The day started with news of Riyad Mahrez being released by the Algeria squad to complete a move that never materialised - but was swiftly followed by news of Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain joining Liverpool and Serge Aurier signing for Tottenham.
Dramatic news broke in the afternoon as Manchester City made a bid worth £60m for Alexis Sanchez - but that was rejected as Arsenal failed with a £92m bid to sign Monaco's Thomas Lemar.
The French side did allow one high-profile player to leave, however, as Kylian Mbappe sealed a sensational move to PSG.
In the Premier League, Fernando Llorente signed for Tottenham, Wilfried Bony moved back to Swansea and Chelsea bought Davide Zappacosta from Torino.
But there were moves that failed to materialise as Virgil van Dijk remained at Southampton, Jonny Evans stayed at West Brom and Ross Barkley dramatically rejected Chelsea late in the day.
There were also sagas involving Diafra Sakho, Mamadou Sakho and Danny Drinkwater - and, as ever, Sky Sports News was right at the heart of events.
